This utterly unique electric upright bass is one of three in the Boomstick Black Walnut Series. The body is hand carved from a slab of beautiful Michigan Walnut, sustainably harvested from Bluhm family property. The instrument is a tribute to Ash from the cult classic film "Army of Darkness".
It has three strings (EAD) tuned at the bottom with durable Grover Titan 145-C machine tuners.  The fingerboard is lightweight stainless steel tubing with a 2" outside diameter, inspired by the innovative musical genius and fellow builder/inventor "That 1 Guy".  The Realist transducer pickup provides authentic upright bass string and body tone.  It comes with an endpin and hip brace and is designed for use with a standard guitar strap with or without the endpin.
